[YTM] 21.0 Yeshua Preached the Everlasting Gospel through His Thoughts, Words and Actions

The word Gospel (from Old English Godspell, meaning “Good News”) translates the Greek euangelion, signifying the divine message of salvation and the coming Kingdom of God. Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) proclaimed this Good News: that God’s Kingdom will be established on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:9–10; Luke 11:2). The Everlasting Gospel declares that God Himself will reign in righteousness and love, ending sin, sorrow, death, and suffering, restoring creation to perfect harmony.

This Gospel, eternal and unchangeable, originates from the heart of God, designed for the salvation and exaltation of humanity since before the world began. It was the same message preached by the patriarchs—Seth, Enoch, and Noah—who were described as preachers of righteousness. Through this Gospel, God continually revealed His redemptive plan to restore fellowship between Himself and humankind.

Yeshua, the promised Messiah, came as the fulfillment of this divine plan. He revealed the Father, offered Himself for humanity’s sins, and opened the way to eternal life (John 14:6). His ministry began after His baptism and temptation in the wilderness, during which He preached repentance and the nearness of God’s Kingdom (Mark 1:14–15). Though rejected in His hometown of Nazareth, He continued proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom through His teachings, miracles, and sacrificial love.

John the Baptist prepared the way, calling for repentance and baptism for forgiveness of sins. After John’s imprisonment, Yeshua’s public ministry spread throughout Galilee, where He declared that the time was fulfilled and God’s Kingdom was near. He emphasized spiritual rebirth as the condition to enter this Kingdom (John 3:5–8).

Before ascending to heaven, Yeshua commissioned His disciples to continue this mission: “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15–16; Matthew 28:19–20). On the Day of Pentecost, the Apostle Peter reaffirmed this message, calling all people to repentance, baptism in Yeshua’s name, and reception of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:37–39).

Thus, the Everlasting Gospel—announced by prophets, fulfilled by the Messiah, and proclaimed by His apostles—remains the same timeless message of hope: that through repentance, faith, and obedience, humanity may be reconciled to God and partake in His eternal Kingdom. This Gospel is indeed the “Good News” that brings life, light, and immortality to all who believe.
